Kaiserslautern October Fair

The Kaiserslautern fair has the reputation of being the biggest folk festival in Western Palatinate. Annually, the fairground offering a large variety of rides for children and adults allures many people to Kaiserslautern´s Messeplatz. Visitors can enjoy a huge fun mile featuring a roller coaster, a giant Ferris wheel, merry-go-rounds and many other fun rides. A large number of vendors provide culinary specialties, candies, products of arts and crafts, spices, household articles and much more. The opening fireworks display illuminates the fairground at approx. 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, is family day including reduced prices for fun rides and many other special offers. On the opening day, October 16, the fair opens from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays the opening hours are from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. At other weekdays the fair opens from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. A closing fireworks display takes place around 9 p.m. on Monday, October 26.
