Lecture “From the Palatinate to Virginia and back” at Ramstein Congress Center

Palatinate crime novelist Ronald Daub presents the famous Hatfield and McCoy story at Ramstein Congress Center. Guests can look forward to a three-hour program featuring music, drinks, snacks, and the famous American figures.

In the U.S., practically everyone knows the story. In the mid-19th century, a family feud began between the Hatfields and the McCoys, claiming the lives of many people. In the early 2000s, the descendants concluded peace in front of CBS television cameras.

In Ramstein, the audience learns about the historical story and – in the presence of Mr. Reo Hatfield and Mr. Ron McCoy – the wonderful message: reconciliation, forgiveness, and a positive future together.

The band HIT maschine provides musical entertainment. Horst Dech, a musician from the Palatinate, also creates great atmosphere. Another highlight of the event is the appearance of Dr. George Brown. He is the founder of the first American FCK fan club. The interview focuses on his motivation for founding the club, on FCK, and the German-American friendship.

Ronald Daub himself reads from one of his Palatinate crime novels, some of which are set in Washington, D.C. He hopes that many guests will attend the event and cordially invites the U.S. military community from Ramstein Air Base as well.

The event is held in German and English. It starts at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Open seating.
