Farmers’ Market in Kappeln

The village of Kappeln near Lauterecken hosts a farmers’ market on Sunday. More than 100 exhibitors present rural traditions, as well as arts and crafts and culinary treats. The market starts with a church service at 10 a.m. The market booths are open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Visitors can look forward to live music on several stages and handicraft presentations of traditional farming. Rescue organizations demonstrate exercises. The program includes an animal exhibition, an exhibition of classic cars, tractors, motorbikes, and agricultural machinery. A special entertainment program for kids is offered as well. A large variety of food and drinks including two buffets with homemade cakes is available. Free admission to the market! Parking at the entrance to the village is recommended.
