Guided Tours of the Limestone Mine in Wolfstein

Experience how limestone was mined over the centuries – from the early days of surface mining through to underground mining. Today, the decommissioned mine is a living museum that brings the history and hard work of the miners to life. The knowledgeable mine guide leads the guests through the tunnels by mini train. Sturdy shoes and warm clothing are recommended. The limestone mine can be visited until November 1, 2026 on Sundays and German holiday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Last tour takes place at 5 p.m. No registration required.
