City Wall Festival in Freinsheim

The city wall festival in Freinsheim is held in the historic city center, which is surrounded by the medieval city wall dating back to the 15^th century. The 1.3 km long city wall is among the biggest and most beautiful fortifications in the Palatinate region. You are invited to stroll through the baroque city center along its narrow alleys and tiny romantic squares. About 19 stands provide delicious food and local wines. The festival takes place on Friday from 6 p.m., on Saturday from 4 p.m., on Sunday from 11.30 a.m. and on Monday from 4 p.m.  Using public transportation is recommended, since the center of the village (old town) is closed to traffic, parking lots are signposted.
