Car-free Sunday in the Wallhalbtal near Landstuhl
This is a biking event for the whole family. The 23 km (14 miles) long trail between the city of Landstuhl and the village of Thaleischweiler-Fröschen leads through the beautiful scenery of the Wallhalbtal and will be closed to motorized traffic from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The idyllic Wallhalbtal is also a popular hiking region with several well signposted hiking trails. Food and drinks are offered at several stops along the trail set up by local clubs. The 13 historic mills along the route invite cyclists to stop for a rest as well. Children can enjoy pony rides, a bouncy castle, a donkey enclosure, as well as a children’s road track and an adventure playground.
The car-free Wallhalbtal can be reached by train via Pirmasens/Nord, Thaleischweiler-Fröschen and Landstuhl.
