Blossom Festival in Freinsheim

The ancient village of Freinsheim hosts its annual blossom festival. Visitors are invited to go for a stroll through the historical village center and enjoy the lively springtime. A varied program with arts, culture and entertainment is offered. Furthermore, carriage rides are provided on Saturday from 1 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. (meeting point is the winery Kreuzhof on Erpolzheimer Strasse 1). Local vintners offer wine tastings. The wine pass including 8 wine samples of your choice is available at the price of € 12 at the tourist information (on Hauptstrasse 2). Enjoy delicious specialties as well as fizzy beverages and have a great time. Nature lovers have the opportunity to walk along the Blossom Hiking Trail and see the beautiful pink and rose-colored landscape on the outskirts of the village. The trail has a length of 3.4 miles and is also recommended for families with strollers. The festival takes place from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on both days. Stores are open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Using public transportation is recommended, since the center of the village (old town) is closed to traffic.
