Ramstein Fasching Parade

The big Westrich Fasching Parade is the highlight of the annual carnival season in the region. Colorful floats, walking groups, marching bands etc. including the USAFE Band and USAF Fire Department participate in the parade. The 3.2 km (2 miles) long route leads through the city center of Ramstein. The parade starts at 2 p.m. Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the event. Participants throw candies or hand out drinks to the spectators. It´s time for being crazy, cheering up and having fun. Parade badges can be purchased at the price of € 2.50 in support of the organizing association, “Karnevalverein Bruchkatze”. The badges enable the visitors to enter Congress Center Ramstein, where the Fasching celebrations continue after the parade. On the market square next to CCR several booths offer food and beverages. At Congress Center Ramstein live musical entertainment is presented by the band “Sergeant”. Put on your favorite costume and be a witness of the exceptional atmosphere in downtown Ramstein!

Spectators are requested to park outside of the town center or use public transportation. The Ramstein train station is located next to the start of the parade. Barriers and roadblocks will be set up in the morning. The town center will be completely closed to traffic from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Especially people residing in the town center of Ramstein should be aware of that fact. Please don´t park your cars and vehicles along the sidewalks on Tuesday, February 17.
