Medieval Market in Freisen

The medieval market is held on the premises of the game park in Freisen and features large Celt and Viking camps. The young and the old are invited to experience history first-hand, as the clocks will be turned back to the Middle Ages. The entertainment program includes performances of jugglers, dancers, medieval musicians, a knight tournament and a spectacular fire show. An animation program for children is provided as well. Visitors can look over the craftsmen´s shoulders presenting ancient arts and crafts. Approx. 80 traders offer a wide range of goods for sale. A great choice of medieval specialties and beverages is available, too. The market takes place on Friday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. until midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Entrance fee is € 12 for adults, € 8 for medieval dressed, and € 5 for children. A family ticket is available at the price of € 25 including 2 adults and their own children up to 14 years. Parking spaces are available at the game park.
