Culinary Wine Hike in Herxheim am Berg

Herxheim am Berg is a little and quaint village at the German Wine Street. The approx. 4 km (2.5 miles) long trail leads through the vineyards, where hikers have a wonderful view. Along the circular path participants can taste selected wines of the local vintners and try Palatinate specialties offered at 7 stopover points. The booths along the trail open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Visitors can easily get to Herxheim am Berg by train and get off at the hiking trail. Starting point of the hike is at the cemetery.
