Adventure Days at Landstuhl Nanstein Castle
Visitors are invited to experience history first-hand, as the clocks will be turned back to the Middle Ages. Knight camps, medieval music as well as activities of craftsmen such as ropemaker, blacksmiths and stonemason will bring the castle back to life. The entertainment program for “damsels and squires” includes performances of jesters and wizards, bird of prey demonstrations, join-in activities and a carousel for children. Furthermore, people can look forward to a fire show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Show fights are held on Saturday and Sunday. Food and beverages are offered, too. The event takes place Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. One-day-pass is € 7.50. 4-day-pass is € 15. Children “under sword size” (smaller than 1 meter) have free admission.
To avoid parking difficulties, Park & Ride is offered from the Bann sports field (address: Am Sportplatz 1, 66851 Bann) to Nanstein Castle. Parking fee including transportation € 2 per person. Guests are also welcome to park in the town and walk to the castle.
