Blossom Festival in Freinsheim

The ancient village of Freinsheim hosts its annual blossom festival. Visitors are invited to go for a stroll through the historical village center and enjoy the lively springtime. A varied program with arts, culture and entertainment is offered. Nature lovers have the opportunity to walk along the Blossom Hiking Trail and see the beautiful pink and rose colored landscape on the outskirts of the village. The trail has a length of 3.4 miles and is also recommended for families with strollers. Furthermore, carriage rides are provided on Saturday from 1 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. (meeting point is the winery Kreuzhof on Erpolzheimer Strasse no. 1). Local vintners offer wine tastings. The wine pass including 8 wine samples of your choice is available at the price of € 12 at the tourist information (on Hauptstrasse 2). Enjoy delicious specialties as well as fizzy beverages and have a great time. The festival takes place from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on both days. Stores are open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Using public transportation is recommended, since the center of the village (old town) is closed to traffic, parking lots are signposted.
