Weekly Fruit and Vegetable Market in Kaiserslautern

Weekly markets have been held around the Kaiserslautern Collegiate Church for many hundreds of years. A photo from 1929 shows the weekly market on Stiftsplatz (market square), where it has been held from the mid-19^th century to the present day. The weekly market takes place every Tuesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Kaiserslautern´s Stiftsplatz. Fresh and organic groceries such as fruits, vegetables, cheese, fish, meat or sausage products can be purchased. Baked goods as well as flowers and plants are available, too. Visitors are invited to browse around and experience the lovely atmosphere.
