European Farmers' Market in Konken

The European Farmers’ Market hosted by the Kusel County is held in the village of Konken this year. More than 100 vendors present a wide range of local products such as game, fish, cheese, fruits, fruit juices, beer and a lot more. Besides local farmers, also exhibitors from Finland, Poland, Hungary, Italy and France offer goods and culinary specialties characteristic for their countries. The market features live musical entertainment and presentations of potters, basket makers, rope makers and others. Animals such as cows, chicken, goats and sheep enrich the exhibition. Market hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The village roads will be blocked for all motorized traffic this weekend.
