Swim&Run Charity Event in Winnweiler

For the 3^rd time, the Union Community of Winnweiler organizes the Swim&Run charity event, with the friendly assistance of the two clubs “Turnverein Winnweiler 1876 e.V.” and “Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft e.V.” Swim&Run is a competition format that is also called aquathlon. Two sports, swimming and running, with continuous timekeeping are combined with each other.

Two options will be offered:

- Long-distance: 500 m swimming and 5 km running, YoB 2010 and older, starting 10 a.m.

- Short-distance: 100 m swimming and 1 km running, YoB 2013 and older, starting 2 p.m.

Participants of long-distance start from 10 a.m. and have to swim 500 meters. Swimmers start one after another, every minute. Afterwards, they put on their running shoes in the transition zone and change their sportswear. Then, they continue with the 5 km run. Participants of short-distance start from 2 p.m. and have to swim 100 meters. Afterwards, they run 1 kilometer. For both distances the competition starts and ends at the Winnweiler outdoor swimming pool.

Your start number corresponds to your start time. For example: The number 1000 starts at 10:00 a.m., 1001 at 10:01 a.m., 1002 at 10:02 a.m., 1448 at 14:48 p.m. etc.

Team start is possible, too! The procedure is basically the same as the individual start. Here the swimmer hands over to the runner by high-fiving.

The entry fee will be completely donated to a charity organization. Entry fee:

€ 15 for adult teams

€ 10 for children teams up to 16 years

€ 10 for adults (individual start)

€ 5 for children up to 16 years old (individual start)

Due to limited number of participants, pre-registration is required. Registration on the day of the event is impossible. Exception only if no internet access available. Spectators are very welcome! For all guests the use of the swimming pool after the event is unrestricted until 7 p.m.
