English Guided Tour of the Pop Art Exhibition at Museum Pfalzgalerie Kaiserslautern
The title of Billy Wilder´s American film comedy could not be more fitting: hot, colorful, and garish. Who could resist the unmissable works of pop art? The famous icons include Andy Warhol´s depictions of Marilyn Monroe and the Coke bottle. 55 works on loan from the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen depict the phenomenon of Pop Art and at the same time bring to life a piece of American and German history from the 1960s and 1970s. The exhibition is bilingual – all texts and audio stations as well as the exhibition magazine are in German and English. A guided tour of the exhibition in English will take place on Sunday, June 9th at 3 p.m. (participation fee € 3). Opening hours of the museum are Tuesday to Sunday, as well as German holidays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Thursdays the museum is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission fee to this special exhibition is € 8 for adults, kids and students have free admission.
