Exhibition “Sport connects” at “Museum im Westrich” Ramstein
The “Museum im Westrich” is the museum of local history of the union community of Ramstein-Miesenbach. Located in one of the oldest buildings in the town center of Ramstein, a protected Baroque building dating back to the 18th century, the museum covers a spectrum of historic, folklore, and artistic subjects supplemented by changing special exhibitions and lectures. At present the museum is showing its special exhibition titled “Sport connects: Diversity - Integration - Inclusion”. The Ramstein-Miesenbach union community is home to people from 92 nations. Some are only here for a limited time. Others have decided to live here permanently. For many, the question arises as to how they get into contact with others, how they can integrate. One way to do this is through sports. The exhibition shows how the sports clubs in the villages of the union community act as meeting and integration spaces and how sport connects people. The exhibition can be visited at the “Museum im Westrich” until November 2023. Opening hours of the museum are Wednesday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
