Medieval Market at Lichtenberg Castle in Thallichtenberg

At the historic Lichtenberg Castle visitors will be taken back to the Middle Ages. The official opening of the medieval market starts with gun salutes at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The market features a large knight camp throughout the courtyard, demonstrations of blacksmiths and living history inside the castle tower. The entertainment program includes medieval music and dance performances, exhibition fights, archery and a lot more. A children´s program is offered, too. Food and beverages according to ancient recipes are available. The market takes place on Saturday from noon until 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
