“Altstadtfest” in Freinsheim

Freinsheim hosts the “Altstadtfest” (old town festival) within its ancient town walls. Visitors await a varied entertainment program featuring blues, jazz, golden oldies and folk music in front of the picturesque scenery of the historic downtown. Stroll through quaint, narrow alleys and enjoy local wines as well as Palatinate specialties offered by numerous wineries and restaurants. Celebrate with the locals and experience the cheerful atmosphere. Guided tours in German are offered on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 11.15 a.m. Participation fee is € 4 per person. Meeting point for the tours is the historical town hall. The festival starts on Friday evening at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and Monday already at 11.30 a.m.
