European Festival in Ramstein-Miesenbach

The city of Ramstein-Miesenbach got three sister cities within Europe: Since 1991 the city is twinned with the French city of Maxéville near Nancy and since 2000 with the Hungarian city of Balatonlelle at Lake Balaton. In 2019 the Spanish city of Rota and Ramstein-Miesenbach became sister cities. To celebrate this border-crossing friendships Ramstein-Miesenbach has invited delegations from all three sister cities for a big European Festival. The guests from all over Europe will be welcomed in an opening ceremony with city officials on Friday evening. On Saturday the public is invited to the festival that will take place inside and outside the Congress Center Ramstein. An international stage program with music and dance performances including a Spanish Flamenco show and Hungarian and French dance groups awaits the visitors. In preparation of the event the local kindergartens and schools have focused on European projects which they will present that Saturday. Ramstein´s sister cities will contribute to the program as well. With information booths the cities will provide an impression what they have to offer. A city rally of Ramstein-Miesenbach with some riddles to solve will be available in English. Culinary specialties from France, Hungary, Spain, and Germany will be offered on the Market Square outside the Congress Center. Festival hours are from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free!
