Castle Adventure Days (Burgerlebnistage)

Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl is the perfect venue for the medieval market. Knights´ camp, minstrels, craftsmanship, castle illumination and medieval music will bring the castle back to life. The entertainment program for young damsels and squires includes join-in activities, jester performances and a carousel. The well-known falconer presents his bird of prey show. On Friday evening, visitors can look forward to a fire show. In commemoration of Knight Franz von Sickingen, a memorial service will be held on the anniversary of his death, Saturday, May 7, at 6 p.m. in the castle. Food and beverages are offered, too. The event will take place on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On all days, admission fee for adults is 5 EUR. Children smaller than 1 meter (“under sword size”) have free admission.
