City Festival in Kaiserslautern

After a three-year break more than 100,000 visitors are looking forward to the city festival in Kaiserslautern called Altstadtfest. With live music on 9 open-air stages the historic city center turns into a huge event mile. The music program ranges from rock via funk and soul through to blues. Further great entertainment is guaranteed by street theater and presentations of arts and crafts. Throughout the old part of town, many vendors offer a wide range of merchandise such as leather goods, jewelry and much more. A medieval market is held on Klosterstrasse. Culinary specialties and beverages are available as well. The festival takes place on Friday from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
