Medieval Christmas Market at Lichtenberg Castle

The medieval Christmas market in and around Lichtenberg Castle is always worth a visit. In front of the magnificent backdrop of the castle, visitors can look forward to a medieval hustle and bustle with numerous booths presenting craftsmanship. Gift ideas and decoration items for the Advent season are available too. The medieval spectacle includes dance and music performances, a nativity scene, archery and crossbow shooting. The official opening starts with gun salutes at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Santa Claus surprises the little visitors on Sunday. The Christmas market takes place on Saturday from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
