Potato Market in Obernheim

The potato market (Kleiner Sickinger Grumbeeremarkt) takes place every other year, always in a different village of the Union Community of Thaleischweiler-Wallhalben. This year the venue is in Obernheim. The market starts at 11 a.m. with the official opening by the mayor. Throughout the village center craftspeople present their handicraft products. Numerous booths offer a large variety of potato specialties such as waffles, soup, bratwurst and many other Palatinate delicacies. Visitors can also purchase fresh fruits, vegetables and potatoes that were harvested the previous day. The local brass band entertains the people with live music. A children´s program is provided as well.

Due to a road closure, it is recommended to take the route via the village of Wallhalben.
