Spiritual Gospel Night at the Ramstein Catholic Church

Initiated by Alexandra Dietz, SWR broadcasting company reporter, the first West Palatinate Gospel Week will take place in May 2022 with a series of charity concerts throughout the region. The Gospel Week starts with a concert in the Catholic Church of St. Nikolaus in Ramstein on May 9th. Swedish gospel star Malcolm Chambers will be on stage together with the gospel choir "Joyful Voices". The "Joyful Voices" are a small gospel choir from Mannheim with peculiar voices. They have given numerous concerts in Europe, USA and Canada, and have filled their audiences with enthusiasm every time. With a lot of Americans living in the Union Community of Ramstein-Miesenbach, gospel is popular in the city. Military personnel stationed at the Air Base are also welcome to this concert! The patron of the event is Mayor Ralf Hechler. The Stadtwerke Ramstein-Miesenbach (public utility company) supports the concert financially. Instead of an entrance fee, a donation for a social project is highly appreciated. Donations of the Ramstein concert will go to the “Bürgerstiftung Bündnis für Familien” – a community foundation of the Union Community of Ramstein-Miesenbach for the welfare of families. The restaurant Maxi will provide catering with drinks and snacks outside the church. The concert starts at 7 p.m.

Further concerts as part of the Westpfalz-Gospel-Week will take place in Rockenhausen, Waldfischbach-Burgalben, and Pirmasens.
