The union community “Oberes Glantal” is an administrative unit in Kusel County in Rhineland-Palatinate. It was founded 1 January 2017 by the voluntary merger of the union communities Glan-Münchweiler, Schönenberg-Kübelberg, and Waldmohr. It comprises 23 independent municipalities with approximately 29.000 inhabitants. The administrative center is Schönenberg-Kübelberg.

The holiday region “Lake Ohmbach – Glan Valley” is situated in the “Oberes Glantal” between Ramstein-Miesenbach, Kusel and Schönenberg-Kübelberg northwest of Kaiserslautern. Within the low mountain range “Pfälzer Bergland” you will find the beautiful Lake Ohmbach and the meandering River Glan.
