Cheesecake Hike in Kindenheim

The picturesque village of Kindenheim is located near the German Wine Street. Vineyards have been cultivated there since around 1200 A.D. Experience a heavenly hike with panoramic views along the Kindenheim “Cheesecake Hiking Trail.” The trail begins and ends in front of the sports and leisure center. The approx. 3 km (1.9 miles) long trail leads through the local vineyards, past two outstanding cultural landmarks in the district: the Jewish cemetery and the vineyard house. Hikers have a magnificent panoramic view. At 6 stopover points along the circular path, participants can taste wines, enjoy culinary dishes and the special Kindenheim cheesecake including the recipe of the house. At the trail marking, hikers find the recipe for the cheesecake that received the highest rating at the cheese cake tasting. The event starts with a church service in front of the sports and leisure center (Sport- und Freizeithalle) at 10 a.m.
