Family Day of the Limestone Mine in Wolfstein

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of mining. The limestone mine in Wolfstein is a unique industrial monument that invites people on an unforgettable journey of discovery. Experience how limestone was mined over the centuries – from the early days of surface mining through to underground mining. Today, the decommissioned mine is a living museum that brings the history and hard work of the miners to life. The knowledgeable mine guide leads guests through the tunnel by mini train. In addition to the regular opening hours, special tours are offered during the summer vacation in Rheinland-Pfalz on Tuesdays and Fridays starting at 2 p.m. Registration is required. Sturdy shoes and warm clothing are recommended. Entrance fee is € 7 for adults, € 6 for youths and € 18.50 for families (2 adults and own children).
