Wolfstein Celebrates 750 Years of City History

From August 22 to 24, 2025, the city of Wolfstein will transform into a lively festival mile. The occasion is the city’s 750th anniversary, celebrated with a three-day program full of music, culture, crafts, and culinary delights. Friday kicks off with an official opening ceremony led by the mayor. The evening’s music will be provided by the Enfants du Doubs music association from Wolfstein’s French sister city, Verdun sur le Doubs. Dance groups, show performances, and an evening full of entertainment will set the tone for the celebration. On Saturday, visitors can enjoy exhibitions in the town hall and the Old Schoolhouse, offering insights into art, the history of the castles, mining, as well as traditional crafts such as instrument making and printing. A crafts market will feature regional and national exhibitors showcasing wood art, jewelry, fashion, and local specialties. Families and children can look forward to a carousel, bouncy castle, Bobby Car races, shooting range, and much more. There will also be a car show and live music lasting late into the night. Sunday begins with a festive church service at 10 a.m. Throughout the day, there will be music, children’s activities hosted by the Wolfstein daycare center, and another chance to visit the exhibitions. Live music will once again provide a lively atmosphere into the evening. The city of Wolfstein warmly invites all residents and visitors from near and far to join this special weekend of history, friendship, and joy.
