Culinary Hiking Tour around Glan-Münchweiler

Put on your hiking boots and enjoy the panoramic views of the Glan Valley, the Donnersberg Mountain and the Remigiusberg Mountain! The popular culinary hiking tour is organized by the Union Community Oberes Glantal. Participants can decide between different trails and circular routes. Set your own walking pace and enjoy springtime! Even families with strollers and buggies or hikers who would like to avoid steep hills can participate strolling along the flat Glan-Blies bike trail. Culinary delights from the Palatinate region as well as beverages, coffee and cakes are offered along the well-signposted trails. Various restaurants, clubs and associations invite hikers to stop over and take a rest. An interesting event program is offered for the young and old. A tractor exhibition can be visited in the village of Fockenberg-Limberg. Recommended starting points are any of the following train stations: Niedermohr, Glan-Münchweiler, Rehweiler, Matzenbach and Theisbergstegen. Visitors can easily get to these villages by train departing from Ramstein downtown. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The opening ceremony is held at the Glan-Münchweiler train station at 10 a.m. with musical entertainment by the brass band “Blechquäler”. It is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family!
