Landgraves’ Festival in Pirmasens
Clocks will be turned back to the 18th century when Landgrave Ludwig IX ruled the town. A historical atmosphere will be created throughout the pedestrian area. Craftsmen such as potters, leather and clay workers, amber cutters and silversmiths demonstrate their skills. Merchants offer goods such as gemstones, honey wines, liqueurs, costumes and furs. The entertainment program for children including a hand-operated wooden Ferris wheel and varied games guarantees lots of fun. Performances of jugglers, dancers and musicians entertain the visitors. Traditional food and beverages are offered, too. The festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free! Stores open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
