German-American Friendship Festival in Ramstein

This weekend a big fair is held in celebration of the German-American friendship. The venue is John-F.-Kennedy-Platz in the center of Ramstein. More than 20 stands offer a large variety of culinary specialties and beverages from both countries. Three days long, live music is presented on an open-air stage. On Friday the entertainment starts at 6 p.m. with Touch 'n Go, the popular music ensemble of the United States Air Forces in Europe Band. From 8 p.m. the party band CHANGES continues with pop, rock, funk and soul. On Saturday the rock band Hijack Nick performs at 6 p.m. Frantic Classic Rock entertains the people from 8 p.m. On Sunday the country band Country To Go performs on stage from 2 p.m. and a family program including join-in activities, bull riding and a bouncy castle is provided. The admission to the event is free. Festival hours are Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
